I don't know how I became such a nerd, leaving my notes in the webspace like that. Upon suggestions, I've decided to return this page to it's original mission, which was to hold my thoughts about things I was reading rather than just be a static archive.

Audre Lorde demands that I speak how I feel. In her essays and speeches, in her very existence as a poet, she demands an answer to her call. I think I'm going to write a poem about Haider.

Despite fears, I went out into the snow today. The blizzard wasn't as much a force as I thought.

We walked in the middle of the streets, a new view of the city: cars carrying pyramids of snow act like sleeping monsters, a rearview mirror sticking out like a hand to shake. Rows of these single-handed creatures.
